BeatMaker 2.2 is now available!

We're thrilled to announce the immediate availability of BeatMaker 2.2 on the App Store! This update brings many new major features and improvements, such as full MIDI support (MIDI Out, Sync, Thru, virtual software ports and MIDI songs/patterns import), complete access to your DropBox accounts and a redesigned Sample/Chop Lab - making it easier to edit and slice your samples into presets and patterns.

This major update is totally free for current BeatMaker 2 owners!

Here's the complete list of changes for this version:

  • Create Music Mobile event in London

    Taking place on December 7th in London, this new CDR Knowledge session will explore the mobile music creation and production space and the people that are moving it forward.

    BeatMaker 2, along with other music production apps, will be showcased during this event. The event organizers are looking for tracks produced with BeatMaker 2 that will be added to their DJ sets, so if you have any tunes ready, please upload them to their SoundCloud DropBox!

    "In the Pocket" is a 15-tracks album composed using BeatMaker by talented producer Michael "St. Mic" Moxham.

    Michael tells us about the making of his album:

    I had started it the day I got BeatMaker, which was maybe a few months after its release. Honestly I bought my first ipod touch specifically for BeatMaker. I never really had a want or need for one.
    I released this album, finally, just a few months ago. 99% of it was made on BeatMaker 1, a couple synth and bass sounds from Noise.io. I recorded and mixed the vocals in pro tools, as that's what I do for work, and voila!
    I'm a seriously huge fan. I actually bought an iPad 2 so I can use BeatMaker 2! Glad I did. I'm working on a dubstep and electro house album at the moment, under a different alias.
